Ran LaPolla is the creator of Environmental Ant. She lives in Katonah, New York with her husband, two kids, one pony, two cats and three chickens. She thinks it is really important to take good care of the earth, laugh a lot and not to step on ants.

She has always loved to draw and studied Graphic Design at Pratt Institute. After working in New York City as a designer, she became a full time mom. Now that she has trained her kids to do their own laundry, she is enjoying drawing comic strips and writing books.
